Supplies for Linocut Block Printing Class
Most of these are available at the Dick Blick at 5301 Telegraph Ave
To print at home you'll also need: water soluble ink, a glass surface, and a soft rubber brayer
and / OR an ink pad
For Holiday Cards you'll also want envelopes (A7, kraft paper is often thicker) and stamps!
Extras: glass palette, baron, palette knife, spray bottle (this one has the best even mist), and surprise: a LAZY SUSAN!
Carving Tool with 2+ blades
You really only need 2 blade heads: a small (V shaped) and a med-large gouge blade (U or V shaped)
Paper
I find this lightweight printmaking paper gets the best transfer, 5’’x7’’ fits the 4’’x5.5’’ blocks perfectly or you can buy larger paper and cut down
a sketchbook and favorite pencil
bring pencil and notebook for sketching ideas out
